The Freiburg Veterinary Laboratory is a highly specialised company that focuses on parasitological and microbiological issues and supports veterinarians in veterinary practices and clinics nationwide in prophylaxis and diagnosis, including the planning of therapeutic measures to combat infectious diseases in animals. 
At the same time, we cooperate with university and industrial research institutions in a variety of ways, planning, processing and evaluating studies, particularly on the epidemiology, significance and control of parasitic zoonotic pathogens. 
Central competences exist in canine vector-borne diseases (CVBD) and travel diseases, gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases. 
Through the targeted use of immunodiagnostics (IFAT, ELISA) and molecular diagnostics (real-time PCR) in combination with many years of expertise in classical coproscopic and microbiological examination methods and modern technology (MALDI-TOF MS), we offer a broad-based, precise and valid analysis for the identification of pathogens.
